On a recent survey made my national institute of drug abuse, USA found that the drug addiction is most commonly found on the Youths in several states of USA, among which Massachusetts has a prominent number. It has been found that youths are being getting more addicted towards the drug and alcohol addiction. It has been found among the illicit drug use about 62.8% are school or college students. The psychologists and the rehab centers generally believe that the rise of drug and alcohol consumption among youths are getting increased due to stressful lifestyle where they had to face stresses due to parents relationship, study pressure etc are suppose to be the key cause of addiction.

The negative effects of teenagers using drugs could not be denied. This negative effect is having an adverse effect to the society around the addicted people. The exact statistics of youth being consuming drugs are increasing at an alarming rate. During counseling it has been found that many of such drug addicted youth are supported by the parents in consuming alcohol as they believe that consumption of alcohol would not be as harmful as drugs like heroine, cocaine etc.

This believe has been  even proved to be wrong as on several research it has been found that alcohol has five times more negative effects on health than all the drugs being combined together. It has been even found that 63% of the youth who are addicted to alcohol on the daily basis gets that from friend’s house or through late night partying.  The counselors advised the parents to take utmost care of their teenager at this age so they do not deviate into such habits.

Therefore underage drinking is causing havoc for many teenagers at tender age. Many of them are diagnosed with several life style disorders at a certain age among the youths. Among Massachusetts youth’s ecstasy is found to be one of the popular drug. A kind of drug which directly effect s the central nervous system of the body. This cause severe damage to the brain and other neural organization of the body. Other drugs like cocaine, heroine are also being consumed at a higher rate.As the addiction rate is increasing day by day the rehab centers are also being developed on the outskirts and interior of Massachusetts in order to take care of the addicted youths.
